(Pictured: A half-dozen mouth-watering cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake in Washington, DC. From top left to bottom right – toasted marshmallow, mocha, red velvet, vanilla with vanilla frosting, chocolate with chocolate ganache and chocolate with coconut frosting.)
And yes, my husband and I did eat all of them in one night.

have you been to Snap off of M Street? It is exciting if you like baked goods. Also it’s near a crepe place that I may or may not be obsessed with.
Mmm.. I have not been there. Is it called Snap Crepes? If you say it’s good, then I’ll have to add it to my list of places to try!
Sorry. Wired is the cupcake/coffee/bakery place, Snap is the crepes place up the road.
Yes, baked and wired is great. Def gets points for atmosphere and moist chocolate cupcakes.
Well, you don’t have to twist my arm. 🙂 I’ll definitely check it out and let you know how it goes. We’ll see if it can top Georgetown Cupcake!
I’m not even a huge sweet person, but next time I come to visit, can we go there?
Teapot – In the words of Sarah Palin, “You betcha!”
I was at Georgetown Cupcake for the first time on Feb 21st and it was fantastic! I LOVE the cupcakes!!
aely – I concur; they really are good.
I gave CakeLove a second attempt last week, after being warned that I needed to let the cakes sit out for awhile because they’re refrigerated.
1) me letting baked goods just “sit out” isn’t going to happen
2) I waited as long as I could but I still wasn’t impressed.
How can the CakeLove recipe book be so amazing while the bakery is disappointing?
